Dance Partner | 2020
Video installation, Youtube Livesteaming 2Hours, Cologne, Germany.
The dance partner is a light-based installation on the windows to steer hope and artistic engagement in the local community during COVID-19 isolation.
Dance improvisation in work is the process of spontaneously generating movement. The development of improvised movement material is facilitated through a variety of creative explorations, including body mapping through layers, shapes, and dynamic schemes. Movement is a free, seemingly unstructured, technically less rigorous, and impulsive form that simultaneously draws inspiration from projection mapping. It is about finding a more profound way to understand hidden thoughts or feelings of communication between the visual effect of projection mapping and the body to impart a sense of hope and creativity using light as a medium on windows that offer a glimpse of optimism into our shared future.
The video performance production is a collaboration with Nam Huynh in 2014. Link
The project is supported by the Holocenter. New York. for LICHT WINDOWS.
